Friday (Week 5 | Term 3)

Welcome to FriYAY at Holy Family – today it’s BOOK WEEK DRESS UP DAY! This is the culmination of a week of book week activities in our double, which has seen the children engage in a range of provocations and art & craft activities based around the shortlisted texts in this year’s CBCA awards.

Book Week Dress Up Day

Parade

We joined other classes in the hall for a costume parade.

Book Week Investigations

Today we shared two shortlisted stories: Rainbow Bear (read by Mrs G) and Stinkbug (read by Mrs H). The children then enjoyed creating curl up bugs from different types of paper and/or ice painting polar bear pictures.

Ruby and Mrs Handforth visited the Fish Farm and bumped into Mr McCarthy, who asked Ruby to give a hand cleaning up and watering the garden beds, before planting some beans.

A wonderful, busy day was had by all. Have an awesome weekend.
