Friday (Term 3: Week 9)

Another warm welcome to another fantastic

in 2RG and 2JH!

Thank you to the following students:

  • Freny & Katrina and Linda & Amelia for being awesome superhero classroom assistants for the day
  • Jayden M ford feeding our class turtle, Tiddles
  • Kevin for leading morning roll call
  • Carter and Hayley for leading morning organisation

Here’s our learning and calendar information:

And, as our calendar shows, Naomi turned a sparkly 8 years old today! We celebrated her special day with singing, cheering and clapping.

Today our friends in  2JW and their buddy class friends in 5/6HM presented assembly. Lots of students in 2JH and 2RG enjoyed the TikTok part as well as the Minecraft pixel art pictures of teachers. Also mentioned as favourite parts were the iMovie of reversals and the dancing.

After reading another chapter of our class novel, George’s Marvellous Medicine, in which George continued to create his medicine with ingredients from the farm shed (meant for animal consumption!), for we headed out to the playground for 20 minutes fitness.

Today Krish read the shared text to the class. We were very impressed with his reading accuracy and fluency, especially as it was a long story. Well done, Krish!

The story Krish read was:

Dumazi is a young girl out for a walk to get water from the local waterhole, when she comes across a ferocious lion caught in a trap. He asks her to free him and promises that if she does, he won’t eat her. After the kind girl frees him, he breaks his promise and threatens to eat her. Can Dumazi escape from the lion?

Today we joined Cosmic Kids Yoga on a Pokemon Adventure. Great participation by our flexible students.

Nyibol and Adau spent their investigations time making a box of pretend cupcakes for Naomi and a card to wish her happy birthday.

Happy weekend everyone. See you on Monday fro the start for the start of Week 1o, the final week of Term 3.
