We will be having a SHARED LUNCH in our classrooms this Friday 9th June to farewell our student teacher Ms McCabe.
As this will be the students’ lunch, we advise to bring along a savoury dish to share. If you are unable to, we are happy for you to bring in something sweet.
If you will be providing any hot food, please bring it to our classroom by 11:45am as we will be starting the shared lunch at 12pm.
Please pre-cut any food that requires to be cut and label all trays or dishes so we can then return them to you.

Today we began the first of three days where our Year 3 and 5 students are taking part in the National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN).
Students have taken part in the Language Conventions and Writing components today.
Tomorrow Years 3 and 5 students from our classes will take part in the Reading component.
Thursday will be the Numeracy component.
We have talked to students about giving it their best, reading questions carefully and that the NAPLAN is simply a snapshot of their progress this year. If your child was away today or will be away tomorrow or Thursday, a catch up for the NAPLAN has been organised for this FRIDAY 12th MAY.
Welcome back to Term 2. We hope you all enjoyed the break of the holidays with your families.
Tomorrow (Tuesday 2nd May) is an Open Day here at Holy Family from 9am to 11am. Please feel free to invite families you may know who have an interest in sending their children at our school.

We are in desperate need of 4 parent volunteers to walk with us to Creaser Park for Sports Day this Friday at 12pm.
If you are able to help and you are a registered volunteer at school, please contact us ASAP! We really appreciate your time.

Please join us to celebrate our ‘Trust in God’ Mass THIS THURSDAY 30th MARCH at 11:30am in the Centre.
All welcome, hope to see you there!
In Religion over the past week we have been discussing a few focus questions:
What is prayer?
Why do we pray?
First we read the text ‘Can I Pray With My Eyes Open?’ as a whole class
As a class we discussed our thoughts about these questions. Here are our responses:
Students were then able to write their own prayers in order to create a collated book of class prayers to refer to when we lead in prayer in our classroom each day
Please join us this morning in our classroom for prayer at 9am.
Mrs Pinneri and the students of 5/6PA
Don’t forget to come along to our Parent Information Night tonight in Rooms 24 and 25 at 6pm.
Looking forward to seeing those who can make it!

What an amazing start to the year in our classes! We have been getting to know each other in a variety of ways. A focus this term will be on our ‘welcome circle’. Each day we will sit around the room as a whole group and take part in different activities to welcome each other in the classroom to further develop our positive relationships with each other.
What do you value?
In small groups and as a whole class, we have explored the things that we each value both personally and in our classroom. Here are our responses:
Here are the values we have decided to maintain in our classroom. We will all write our names around the scroll and display it in our classroom to remind us of what we value.
This morning was fantastic. With everyone having a laptop, everyone was engaged with the coding task we did this morning. Coding is an essential skill for future jobs. Learning the language, but also the ability to think conceptually is essential. We look to continue our learning with this throughout the year.
As soon as our Making Learning Visible notes are back, i will update this post with photos.
