Welcome to a much cooler day for the ‘bump’ day of the week! Here’s what we are doing today:
Creativity – Not sure if I wanted to try the cake and hot chips but they certainly looked almost real!
The children used a variety of applications, including ActivInspire and Minecraft ( to build and join other people’s worlds).
Maps, Atlases and Flags
Our new book is The Day the Crayons Came Home by Drew Daywalt. The crayons write to Duncan again!
In Literacy we started a new rotation of activities today.
The Explorers used their laptops to explore some word knowledge activities. Some worked on their nouns, sentence structure or syllables.
The following group wrote letters today after reading The Day the Crayons Came Home. They imagined they were a lost crayon in our classroom.
The Inventors and Aliens read their readers and proceeded to extend their knowledge and comprehension of their texts.
We continued our learning on place value.
Don’t forget it’s Sport and Library tomorrow! See you then, Jo and Margot
