Miss Roberts (3JH) and Miss Nguyen (3MP) took the class today. Mrs Handforth and Mrs Papillo will both be back in class on Monday for the start of Week 4.
Miss Roberts kindly emailed Mrs Handforth with a summary of student learning today and some photographs. Thank you, Miss Roberts. She commented that she ‘a wonderful day’ in class.
After assembly, presented by 4RG and 2TD, the chuldren enjoyed some fitness in the hall before returning to class and enjoying their brain food whilst listening to a story.
After recess, Djaran and Stefan shared information about the countries from which one or both of their parents originally come from. Stefan brought in some Serbian pancakes, which his kind grandmother made for the class. A special thank you to Stefan’s grandmother for this tasty treat.
If you would like to try making these tasty treats at home (with parental permission, of course), check out this video:
Thank you to Mrs Moise, our English as an Additional Language Teacher, who led learning between recess and lunch with some provocations encouraging the children to investigate the two countries and their cultures.

Why not learn about the Serbian Cyrillic alphabet and practise saying some words in Serbian?
We wish all our students and their families a very happy weekend.
