Thursday (Week 4: Term 4)

Welcome to Thursday – just one day to go before 3MP take to the stage with their Year 5 buddies to showcase all their learning about Diwali.

Today we read:

Santa has it so easy: a workforce of elves to make the presents, a team of reindeer to deliver them, even a hi-spec factory! The Easter Bunny has to make and wrap all the chocolate eggs in his garden shed, and deliver them himself on foot. No wonder you often find them thrown all over the place in your garden! Now Bunny has had enough – he hatches a genius, chocolately plan with unexpected results.

3MP loved listening to the story today and Mrs P enjoyed reading it!  We all seem to love Christmas and this story certainly put us in the Christmas mood.

Today the children were playing BADMINTON.

Between recess and lunch, 3MP ventured off to the hall for a run through of their assembly … whilst 3JH joined Miss Pettet and 5PP to rehearse their opening song. We dobn’t want to give away too much … but here’s a little taste of what is to come on oru big day.

3MP Assembly Preparation

We were busy getting ready for our assembly  and we used the stage to run through all the assembly items such as songs, readings and performances.  The children are really excited and looking forward to Friday.

This afternoon the students could choose Prodigy, Targeting Maths, Rainforest Maths or develop a maths game using Scratch. An array of Maths topics were being investigated in order to develop numeracy skills and knowledge.  Thanks Thien An for creating and demonstrating  her maths game using Scratch.

Djaran’s Day Out

Djaran returned to the classroom  the end of the day from his day out and proudly showed his head band that he made. He attended a special day with Mr Murray, Miss Canala and other Holy Family students.
