Playground model exhibition

As a part of Design and Technology this term, students researched, designed and created their own playground models.  Students included equipment that they considered ideal for their age group.  Today we completed the critique phase where students were given the opportunity to give feedback on their peers’ playground models.

Sports Day highlights

Dear families,

We were very lucky to celebrate Sports Day yesterday.  Here are some photos of the children enjoying this fun-filled day.  Although quite a different set up to our usual Sports Day, it was a success.  Here are the results:

2nd: TRAVERS

3rd: O’SULLIVAN

4th: FRANKLIN

Well done to all the children on their participation!

Book Week and Dining Hall

What an amazing day we’ve had with a whole lot of Curious Creatures and Wild Minds.  Our day started off with a wonderful Book Week assembly.  The Book Week parade took place after recess, where we were able to see the whole school dressed up as their favourite characters.

Our dining hall lunch was delicious!  Fried rice with spring rolls and bao buns, followed by jelly and ice cream.  Thank you to our canteen staff who always deliver on taste!

A big thank you to our students for your effort and dedication in making Book Week a wonderful experience!

Welcome back to Term 4!

Hello everyone,

We hope you enjoyed the break with your families.  A few reminders:

Next week we celebrate Book Week as a school with the theme ‘Curious Creatures, Wild Minds’.  Next Friday 23rd October is our Book Week dress up day where children are invited to dress up as their favourite character from a book. There will also be a dining hall experience for all children in 3HS and 3NP on the same day.  Children will have their lunch provided on the day.

This term students need to wear the full summer uniform (PE uniform on Tuesdays for 3HS and PE uniform on Thursdays for 3NP).  We strongly recommend children wear hats at play time for sun protection.  We also have sunscreen provided in the classroom (please ensure your child has their own if they are unable to use the sunscreen provided).

We are looking forward to an exciting and busy term with the students!

Kind regards,

Ms Pinneri and Mrs Stam

Our dining hall experience with the ELC children

On Friday we enjoyed our shared lunch with the children from our ELC.  We ate a delicious mix of burgers, chips and creamy vanilla slice.  We helped the ELC students carry their plates back to their seats.  Thank you to the children who helped set up and pack up after our dining hall experience.

Our next dining hall is booked in for Friday 23rd October, which is Week 2 Term 4

(The Friday of Book Week dress up at HFCS) Stay tuned!

Dining hall tomorrow

Good afternoon families,

Just a friendly reminder that tomorrow (Friday 28th August) we will be having our  dining hall lunch with the students from our ELC, provided by the canteen.  Children in our classes will not need to bring lunch to school tomorrow.

Also, we have reusable plastic plates and cutlery for our students, therefore families will not need to worry about bringing in your own.

Looking forward to lunch with our classes tomorrow!

Kind regards,

Ms Pinneri and Mrs Stam
