Welcome back to Term 3!

Dining hall tomorrow (Wednesday)

Good afternoon families,

Just a friendly reminder that tomorrow (Wednesday 10th June) we will be having our second dining hall lunch as a class group this term, provided by the canteen.  Children in our classes will not need to bring lunch to school tomorrow.

Also, we have purchased brand new reusable plastic plates and cutlery for our students, therefore families will not need to worry about bringing in your own.

Looking forward to lunch with our classes tomorrow!

Autumn art with Miss Gray

On Friday we were very lucky to have Miss Gray teach us an art lesson using leaves.  Thank you to TJ and Talyn who collected some leaves outside earlier in the week before the rain came.  We learned about different elements of art including warm and cool colours, contour lines and enlargement.  We used oil pastels and water colours to make our masterpieces! An engaging and fun lesson, check out out success below.

Dining hall tomorrow (Wednesday)

Dear families,

A reminder that our dining hall lunch will be supplied by our canteen tomorrow, Wednesday 20th May.  Students do not need to bring lunch from home tomorrow but we ask that each child brings their own reusable plate and fork.  We look forward to sharing lunch with our classes tomorrow.

Kind regards,

Ms Pinneri and Mrs Stam

Welcome Chloe Gray

Dear families,

This week we welcome Miss Chloe Gray to our classes.  Chloe is a 3rd year student studying a Bachelor of Education at UniSA and also an old scholar of Holy Family.  She will be in our class as a part of her placement for the next 5 weeks.  We look forward to working with Chloe and learning a lot from her this term.

Kind regards,

Ms Pinneri and Mrs Stam

Week 2 reflection

Last week we showed bravery and changed where we usually sit in the class room.  We are opening our friendship circles so that we can get to know new people this term.

In Maths we discovered analogue and digital clocks, with particular attention to o’clock, quarter past, half past and quarter to the hour.

During our library time we read the book ‘I want to be a Rock Star’.  This exposed us to styles of music of the past.  This has influenced us to explore and listen to these different styles and we are in the process of creating a 1950s-1990s music playlist.

Our PMD (play make do) session was also a success!  Students took part in activities of their choice and interacted with children who they don’t usually play with.
