POP ART!

Today we started our new art topic on Pop Art.  We learnt about the history of the movement and viewed various examples from Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein.  Students had the challenge of designing their own work using words like POP, BANG, OOPS, ZAP, WOW and POW.  Have a look at some of the completed examples.

b. What qualities does Oobleck have that suggests it could be a liquid?

c. What do you think it is, a solid or a liquid or both?

d. What are the two main differences between a solid and a liquid?

Augmented Reality Meets Art

Today we combined augmented reality and art! 5/6 HM and AE coloured their own designs and explored the app “Quiver” on the iPad.  This  brought our unique colouring creations to life in extraordinary 3D augmented reality.

Crossing Training

Welcome to week 3 everyone!

This morning 5/6 HM and 5/6AE had SAPOL come and visit us to chat to us about road safety and being a crossing monitor.  Students learnt more bout their important role to keep people safe and had a chance to ask questions.  A roster will be out shortly for those students wanting to be a crossing monitor either in the morning or afternoon.
