This afternoon we started thinking about Christmas around the World!
We discussed the different ways Christmas is celebrated in our own class – the diversity was incredible:
Using our We then began a mini inquiry about Christmas around the World!
Mohammad – “In France, well some parts, Father Christmas comes and gives gifts on December 6!”
Erika – “In Saudi Arabia they don’t celebrate Christmas because of Religion. In their Religion they don’t celebrate the birth of Jesus.”
Hemen – “In Brazil lots of Catholics go to midnight Mass!”
Arthi -“In Thailand, Christmas is a non-event because 85% are Buddhist, 14% are Muslim!”
Nam – “In Belgium, Black Pete is Santa’s assistant to help deliver presents.
Jacob – “Yorkshire Pudding is the most popular Christmas food in the UK.”
