Today the assembly was religion based. They made a play too. The play went like that Mary was cleaning her house and the angel Gabriel told her she was the chosen one to have God’s son named Jesus. She was afraid that when she had a baby, she wouldn’t be able to marry Joseph, a carpenter from Nazareth, anymore. Then in the night, an angel came to Joseph and told him not to be afraid to marry Mary. After that there was some stuff I didn’t remember. The play was quite good though. I especially liked the angel costume because it had a halo too. Then there was teacher’s messages. Mr Slater handed out awards for some stuff. Here are the people who got awards that I remember. Arthi Babu, Dhyana Patel, Darcy Hawks, I think he said Khushi and of course Eric Tran got one too duh.
Dottie, Jem and Shortbread were staying with Grandma and Grandpa this Christmas Eve and and the Christmas feeling didn’t come to Dottie. Dottie was worried that Mum and Dad wouldn’t come back in time for Christmas, but Jem was sure they would. Dottie started thinking about last years Christmas. She thought about the Christmas pudding they made. But this year there was no Christmas pudding. Grandma and Grandpa was allergic to nuts. Grandma suggested they could make a Christmas fruit salad instead. Last year they made a wonderful Christmas tree together. There were shiny balls and ornaments to hang up. But Grandma and Grandpa didn’t have a Christmas tree. Why don’t you draw one and stick it on the wall Grandma suggested. Last year they went to the Parka and sang Christmas songs. But Grandma and Grandpa didn’t live near a park and they didn’t like driving at night. Grandma suggested they can watch carol singing on the telly.
