PRAYER – NEW TERM
“Lord, as we prepare for the coming of a new semester, make us ready, attentive and available to hear you. Thank You for the gift of being able to rise each day with the assurance that You walk through it with us. Thank You for the gifts of creativity and uniqueness, and the energy to put them to good use. May all that we are today, all that we try to do today, may all our encounters, reflections, even the frustrations and failings all be place in your hands. May the work we do and the way we do it, bring new hope, new life, and courage to all we come in contact with this semester. We thank you, Lord. Amen”
An important part of any new term is setting goals for both our social, emotional and academic learning. Together as a class we discussed our classroom expectations and what we would like to focus on for the term.
Starting from next week, our students are going to read the chosen story to the class in library times. Today we looked for things that Miss Battifuoco did when she was reading;
- Eva – Expression
- Hong-Phuc – You use a loud enough voice for people
- Riya – I think like fluency so you don’t sound like a robot
We borrowed our new books for the week. We ensured these were books we are keen and excited to read!
Thank you to Becky who introduced us to a new class game this afternoon. What a wonderful display of a growth mindset and sportsmanship!
