Our three pillars

This week we have asked our students to come up with some class and school expectations we can all agree on and stick to. We asked them to base them on the three pillars our school stands for: Catholic Identity, Pedagogy and Ecology. We also made a display of this on our class pin board.

Using non verbal communication

Today we asked the students to line up in birthday order without speaking as a way of getting to know each other. We were really impressed at how they were able to do this so efficiently without speaking! Students used hand and finger signals to indicate month and day as well as politely pointing others in the right direction. Here is a video… (video coming soon)

Welcome to Term 1!

What an amazing day we’ve had with the students of 5/6NP and 5/6ND. Students have had a chance to get to know each other and their teachers. ¬†Stationery has been given out to the students. Please ensure all items are labeled and students understand it is their responsibility to keep their items in their pencil case and return it to and from home each day.

Our class timetable:

Mondays – Spanish and Music lesson

Tuesdays – Physical Education lesson (students to wear the school sports uniform)

Thursdays – Library borrowing day

Please feel free to contact us via email if you have anything you need to discuss with us:

Next Wednesday 6th February is our Parent Information evening here in our classroom (rooms 19/20) from 6pm to 7pm.  We are looking forward to seeing you here.

Kind regards,
