Today the students of 5CM and 5PP had the opportunity to make pasta as a part of our Procedure unit. Students used flour, eggs and water to make the pasta using a machine. They had to measure ingredients, place their pasta on the table cloth and separate the pieces before dusting them in flour. Final part was tasting the pasta with Ms Pinneri’s home made sauce!

What a wow of a day we had!
Assembly in the morning was very entertaining and a perfect example of what Book Week is all about. We met with our buddies in Year 3 and worked on Book Week investigations. Illustrator Lauren Mullinder came to visit us to read her book that has been published ‘I Hate Rules’ and did an illustration workshop with us.
A busy, fun-filled day to celebrate the many books in our world and to celebrate the love of reading.
What a busy week we are in!
School Photo Day was yesterday, if your child was away yesterday, we will have a catch up photo day on Friday 31st August.

Just a reminder that tomorrow (Wednesday 4th July) is a shared lunch for 5PP and 5CM to celebrate the term together. We will be eating around 12pm so any hot foods can be brought to the classroom around that time. Please label any platters or servers that you would like returned.

5PP and 5CM have been busy over the past few days making products to sell on
Mission Day this Friday. We will be selling:
Stress balls $1 each
Friendship bracelets $1 each
Shrinkies 50 cents each
Take a look at us making the stress balls. A fun and messy task but we used our team work to create them and clean up the rice afterwards!
Today we completed the first component of NAPLAN online, the writing task. Students in 5CM and 5PP should be proud of their efforts today. Below is an outline of what we will be doing tomorrow, Wednesday 16th May (Language Conventions and Reading) and on Thursday 17th May (Numeracy).
Well done on a great start to the week 🙂
