Birthdays in HN and DP for the month of June:

After selling Mission Day tokens first thing and collecting everyone’s generous donations for Casual Day, we settled in to completing a measurement task that was set on Monday.

Numeracy – Area and Perimeter Workshops

To differentiate learning within our class, students were presented with 4 different workshops that they could choose to explore, entering at the level they felt confident and comfortable with.
By accessing and using one flipchart, students can move forward or backwards through the workshops, according to their self-assessment of progress and understanding.

At 11 am, we participated in the Mission Day Mass, with Father Francis. The school community sang beautifully and enjoyed hearing Father Francis’ homily about the missionary work of Saint ‘Mother’ Teresa of Calcutta.

After an early lunch from 12:10-12:50, students came back to class to gear up for an afternoon of shopping. We had many students from our class who volunteered to sell our products and we are very grateful for their support. Our food was a hit and sold out within 30 minutes. The feedback on the fudge was that it was A-Class, the Rice Bubble Bars were on point and the jelly was a bargain at 25 cents. The Oreo Cookie Pops were “out of this world”. Well done team on your making, numeracy, advertising and selling – we’ve had one busy, successful and fun week!

We wished Anyuat a very happy 11th birthday, and he kindly shared some lollies with us at the end of the day. We hope you enjoy your KFC dinner Anyuat – we know you will!
