Water powered rockets continued…..

It’s been quite exciting for Mrs Volkov’s and Mrs Tunbridge’s class.

Last week they launched their rockets which they built in class.

Check out the short video!

It was a blast!

They also wrote short explanations to explain how the rockets work.

They used words like: air pressure, direction, nose cone, stabilise

Amazing stuff!!

Selam!

Mrs Volkov’s and Mrs Tunbridge’s class are off to Parafield Airport next week.

They’ve also been learning about flight!!!

They have just made some water powered rockets which will be launched this Friday at 10.00am on the oval. Anyone can come and watch!

What have they learnt so far………………………..?

Drag

Air flow

Thrust

Air pressure

Some new words?

turbulence

What’s next?

More experiments that will help us understand how things fly

Writing explanations  – to explain how a plane or helicopter or hot air balloon flies! It’s your choice!

We were thinking of writing expositions, but learning seems to be moving in a different direction. What do you think teachers?!!!!
