At lunchtime, children enjoyed a shared lunch of many delicious foods. This was followed by a a quiz competition students versus teachers.

On Fri, Week 4, 4RG and students from across the school hosted the assembly. It was a wonderful celebration of our school’s diversity.

There were many cultural dances  performed on the stage to illustrate  just that:

Vietnamese

Every year, on March the 21st we celebrate Harmony Day which is a day that celebrate our cultural diversity.

Parents, carers, families were invited to a Harmony Day Morning Tea. They also had the opportunity to complete CLARA  which is a learning profile children have also completed.

It was a great morning!

Our second Languages of the Week were Kuku and Bari. These  language are spoken in South Sudan.

Grace Kwaje was amazing in creating a very informative  iMovie which was presented to the whole school.

We started off this year with Gujarati, a language spoken in the Indian state of Gujarat as well as in other parts of the world such as Australia, Adelaide and  Holy Family 🙂

Mahi Patel and Aditi Shah are excellent Gujarati speakers. Jineet joined them in the conversation while Om Patel created the iMovie which was presented to the whole school.
