Every day we’re going to be focusing on our Literacy Capabilities. This morning we started the morning slowly by sharing books and stories with our friends, families and teachers during Come Read with Me. After Come Read with Me we sat together and read our Shared Reading book “I Like it When” by Mary Murphy.

We will be reading this book every day this week. The book follows a repetitive pattern which focuses on the words “I like it when”.

After reading the book together we explored some Literacy Learning Experiences. This week we are focusing on the words “I like”. We found the words in magazines, wrote the words on whiteboards and used magnetic letters to make the words. Some of us explored silly sentences and practiced our writing. Others of us played literacy games.
