ASSEMBLY

Today we enjoyed watching all the learning and excitement that happens in the year 5/6 classes! It was fantastic to see how they don’t give up, use a growth mindset and student agency.

SHARED READING AND COME READ WITH ME

Mini lesson – strategies – being fluent when reading.

 

We then read with our friends practicing our fluency and expression!!

 

PRAYER

We continued on our focus of Ecology and sung our song about caring for the world.

Shyla – Dear God thank you for the whole world and the trees Amen

Oliver – Dear God thank you for the people and the teachers Amen

Ziggy – Dear God thank you for the whole world and the animals Amen

BEING MINDFUL

 

 

FISH FARM – PROJECT

Continuing on with our inquiry project about the sun we went back to visit our work at the Fish farm. The children discussed their observations with each other and recorded their thinking.

Harper – all the plants were leaning towards the sun

Oliver – We put the plants to see some grow cant grow with the sun

Katherine – this one growing better

Mikayla – the sun one grew more

Oliver – and the water and the sun

Richard – the one in the sun much more but if it gets too much sun it might get dry. The one in the sun didn’t grow much

Shane – i think the other plant might need some more time to grow

 

FITNESS

We took a challenge and had some running races. we got our hearts pumping!!

 

We hope you all have a fantastic weekend. Miss Moore and Mrs Diotallevi will be at University studying about Catholic Education on Monday. Miss Feher will be at school with you all Monday.

Miss Moore looks forward to seeing you Tuesday, Mrs Diotallevi will see you on Wednesday.
