“You can discover more about a person in an hour of play than you can in a year of conversation”. We love basing our learning and provocations arounds the students’ interests and ensuring that we encourage 100 languages. Through play, we are able to channel interests and build strong relationships with our students by getting to know them, their understanding of the world and the way they learn, through play.
To start off our fun-filled day, we went to log park and the Fish Farm for fitness. We really loved holding the baby yabbies and exploring the wonderful animals in the Fish Farm. We learned about their habitats, what they eat and what they feel like!
Today we explored various provocations around the story ‘Wombat Stew’. Our students are loving the story and exploring the characters within the story. Many of our students also had an opportunity to create stress balls using balloons and a variety of different sensory materials such as flour, rice and seeds. It was great to see our students using collaboration, curiosity and creativity.
