Thursday (Term 1 | Week 5)

Welcome to another fabulous Thursday!

MATHS MINI

Today’s activity for many students involved rolling a dot die, recording the dot pattern, counting the dots and writing the corresponding number. Some children were challenged to roll two dice, record the dot pattern and complete an addition to find the total number of dots.

Well done to the students who worked hard with their counting and recording, as well as forming the correct digits to represent amounts. We will be repeating this activity tomorrow so students can continue to familiarise themselves with the skills mentioned above.

DINING HALL EXPERIENCE

At noon today we all went over to the Centre, equipped with plates, forks and spoons, for our first dining hall experience. Today’s menu was: spring rolls, fried rice with vegetables and corn on the cob, followed by chocolate cake and vanilla ice-cream.

A shout out to our wonderful Year 5/6 helpers from 5/6HM, who were simply amazing! Mrs Handforth felt like she had six extra adults in the room. Thank you for your fantastic leadership

Here we are enjoying our meals, trying new foods and having fun:

In the afternoon, when we returned to class, we reflected on our dining hall experience. The children recorded in words and pictures.

Have a lovely evening everyone, See you tomorrow for FriYAY.

  1. Looks like everybody had a great time!

Ebony looks like she loved the corn the most, or was it the chocolate cake.

    Well done everybody

    Cheers Ebony’s DAD.

    P.S Love you Ebs.

    • Hi Darren, I think Ebony had two servings of both, but I think the chocolate cake might have been the overall winner. Thanks for your comment 🙂
