Home-Learning

Hello Everyone.

It is good to see that some students have been playing Prodigy. When I checked in tonight the weekly leaderboard for R1JH was as follows:

Margot and I have arranged for our students to have access to a great online learning platform called Sumdog. This site offers children the opportunity to practise mathematics, spelling and reading skills online. An adaptive learning platform, this site will evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of each student and adjust learning content accordingly.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic this provider is offering free access to all teachers and students up to 20 June 2019.

R1JH parents have been sent an email with details of their child’s log in details. R1MP students’ details will be forwarded soon.

We have also signed our students up to a site called Teach Your Monster to Read. This site offers your child the opportunity to practise their letter, word and sentence level reading online in magical kingdom which they navigate using their own avatar monster. When the children achieve completion of each of the three levels, their class teacher is sent a special certificate that is awarded to the child.

Isabella has been busy with home-learning and her mum sent in these photographs …

Please do continue to send us photographs of your child’s learning so we can share home-learning ideas and  successes  with our class community.
