Friday (Term 2 | Week 5)

Welcome to a gloriously sunny Friday!

Today we sang HAPPY BIRTHDAY to WILLIAMS, who is 6 years old tomorrow. We gave him six big claps too. We hope you have a wonderful day with your friends and family on Saturday, and we look forward to hearing all about it next week.

NUMERACY

Today was the 6th and final rotation in our learning about 2D and 3D shapes. Everyone busily engaged in their geometrical learning. PS. We know it says Wednesday, but these ARE Friday groups .

PLAY INVESTIGATIONS

Liam loves the pinwheel! He discovered that the colours reflect onto the floor and that he can blow the wheel to make it move.

Abhay and Lina enjoyed more block construction; they made a freeway.

Mikayla drew a bird from an information book:

Anthony drew a police car, an ambulance and a fire engine!

Joshua did some amazing reading with Mrs Handforth and then showed her that he had achieved his 25 nights home reading award. Congratulations and well done, Josh – your practice is paying off!

Tri and Kevin carried on investigating 3D shapes and made these 3D shapes with pentagonal sides.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone! See you in June (next week!).
