Welcome to Tuesday, Week 2, Term 4 

LITERACY: BOOKMAKING
The children continued with their bookmaking this morning. As yesterday, the children are receiving differentiated instruction in the form of mini-lessons led by one of four teachers: Mrs Handforth, Mrs Papillo, Miss McCarthy and Mrs Hawkes. In this way, everyone gets the appropriate ‘next steps’ lending opportunities for their continued writing progress.  After the mini-lesson, in which aspects of the genre and writing conventions are covered, the children continued to author and illustrate their ‘expert’ texts.

NUMERACY
Following on from yesterday, the children rotated to the next number activity in their group. 

DINING HALL LUNCH
On the menu today was fish and chips followed by vanilla slice and ice-cream. YUM! Some children said they didn’t fish, but when they tried it, they decided it tasted good – and one of them even asked for seconds!

MUSIC and SPANISH
In the afternoon the children enjoyed learning about Spanish and Music with their specialist teachers.
