Year 5/6/7

Students in Year 5/6/7 are involved in twice weekly Spanish lessons. They are developing their skills in communicating in Spanish through listening, speaking, reading and writing. They are focusing on making simple requests and responses to Spanish Classroom Phrases. During Term 2 we have focused on La Comida (Food). Students engaged in oral conversations and constructed written texts to share information in Spanish.

Year 3/4

Students in Year 3 to 4 are involved in twice weekly Spanish lessons. They are developing their skills in communicating in Spanish through listening, speaking, reading and writing. They are focusing on greetings, numbers (0-20), colours, the days of the week, the months of the year and how to make simple requests and responses to Spanish Classroom Phrases. We have played interactive oral language games such as Loteria and Adivina.

Reception – Year 2

Students in Reception to Grade Two are involved in weekly Spanish lessons. They are developing their skills in communicating in Spanish through listening, speaking, reading and viewing and the use of body language, visual cues and signs. They are learning songs, greetings, numbers and the days of the week.
