As part of the work that the 3/4’s have been doing on “Los Saludos” (Greetings), they used Spanish greetings to create Wordel Art pieces to share.
Look at the wonderful creations they have presented.
In partners the Year 3/4’s have been creating Spanish conversations. They have worked very hard to incorporate as much language as possible and will orally present their work when it is completed to their peers.
It was great to see how creative they could be with their language structures. Well done 3/4’s!
Señora Nuñez has been teaching 3/4DP a “Cancion de Saludos” a greeting song that highlights the different types of greetings that are used during a day. We had lots of fun learning and singing the song!
Please enjoy 3/4DP as they sing in Spanish.
The Year 6/7’s reviewed their conversational skills and built on prior knowledge to create dialogues. Students presented their conversations in whatever medium they wanted e.g. a comic strip/ script / iMovie. It was left to their own preference how they wanted to present the information and what Spanish language they wanted to include. Many students explored new language structures to compliment their presentations. Students were very creative in their presentations ranging from comic strips to a Mine craft video.
Señora Opazo has been teaching the Receptions, Year 1’s and Year 2’s a “Cancion de Saludos” a greeting song that introduces to the children the different types of greetings that are used during a day.
Please enjoy R/1 MR as they sing in Spanish.
Students really enjoy listening and singing along to this song about Los Dias de la Semana. Share it with you family and friends!
This week in Spanish Señora Opazo has been teaching The Mexican Hat Dance to the Reception/1’s and Year 2’s. It is a joyful cultural dance that is easy and fun to learn.
You perform the Mexican Hat Dance with a friend. All you need is to be able to count to four and follow a basic rhythm.
Look at the fun the students in 2RG are having!
The Year 5/6’s are investigating how to describe themselves in Spanish. They are formulating detailed descriptive sentences about themselves. They could use any format or structure they wanted to develop their text. I encouraged students to be as creative as they wanted in their language choices. It was wonderful to see the amazing language range that the students developed.
Here are some examples of the positive descriptive words they have used.
