Year 2 – Los Colores
The Year 2’s have been learning their colours in Spanish. They played a language game with Señora Opazo using “Los Colores”. Look at how much fun they had playing together. Ask your child to teach you Los Colores!
Una Cancion de Saludos – A Greeting Song
Señora Opazo has been teaching the Receptions, Year 1’s and Year 2’s a “Cancion de Saludos” a greeting song that introduces to the children the different types of greetings that are used during a day.

El arbol de la vida The Tree of Life
The Junior Primary children have been designing and creating their own Arbol de la Vida, which is a Mexican tradition. The children drew what they thought the Tree of Life meant to them. Below are some examples of their creative work. Some trees were represented as colours, others as animals and food etc..

Reception – Year 2
Students in Reception to Grade Two are involved in weekly Spanish lessons. They are developing their skills in communicating in Spanish through listening, speaking, reading and viewing and the use of body language, visual cues and signs. They are learning songs, greetings, numbers and the days of the week.
