Students are encouraged to wear Christmas clothes and any Christmas headbands they may have.

Hi families,

This term in science we are learning that everyday materials can be physically changed in a variety of ways. This week we investigated the physical changes of uncooked vs cooked pasta. We touched, smelt and explored both the uncooked and cooked pasta and brainstormed words to describe them.

We then listened to a poem about spaghetti and created a spaghetti craft using the words we know to describe the physical changes of cooked pasta.

Hi 1CZ families,

Just a friendly reminder that our buddy assembly is this Friday.

As our assembly is Christmas themed, students are welcome to wear their school uniform with a Christmas hat or headband.

If you do not have a Christmas headband or hat at home do not worry, we have created some elf headbands at school that the students can wear. Looking forward to the assembly on Friday!

Good Afternoon,

Yesterday as a class we celebrated ‘World Kindness Day’. We began the lesson by watching a video of children across the world sharing their understanding of the word kindness.

We then brainstormed all the ways we can ‘bee-kind’ and wrote them down on our bee craft.

Hi 1CZ Families,

Next Friday  the 18th of November at 9am is 1CZ and 3BA Buddy Assembly. As it is the last buddy assembly for the year we will be sharing our work and celebrating Christmas. Students have been learning this song and are welcome to practice the dance at home:

Parents are more them welcome to come and watch the assembly in Week 5, it will also be filmed and online for viewing.

This Friday  the 11th of November at 9am is 1EJ and 3HP’s Buddy Assembly. Parents are welcome to come and watch. We have been working hard with our buddies and learning lots about Space that we would love to share with you.

This week at Holy Family we have been celebrating the festival of Diwali. This festival originated in India and is also known as the Festival of Lights. During this time people celebrate and come together to share and create fireworks, food, gifts, coloured sand, and special clay lamps.

As a class we painted our very own Diya’s using bright coloured paints. Have a look at our work!!
