Today is Ash Wednesday, which signifies the first day of Lent.

 Below are a few more activities if children want to do some learning at home. Looking forward to seeing you all back in the classroom soon.

Phonics & Writing

Today’s sound of the day is the /o/ sound. Watch the video below and have a go at singing along and practising the action:

You may like to practice writing a row of lowercase (o) and upper case (O). See if you can think and record any words that contain  the /o/ sound.

Numeracy

Use the picture below to remind you what our MAB blocks look like in the classroom:

If you’re feeling up to it, choose a number between 11 and 99. Write the digit and written word for this number in your book. Then have a go at drawing the number using MAB blocks.

HASS

Look around your house or even outside and write a list of things that you can see.  Have a go at identifying which items are natural, managed and which are constructed.
