Hi Families,

This Friday is  Sports Day and the Colour Run. Students are encouraged to wear their team colours for Sports Day. They are also encouraged to bring a white t-shirt to change into for the colour run.

We are looking forward to a very exciting day!

Last Friday we celebrated the Moon Lantern Festival. We created our own lanterns and enjoyed a special assembly with cultural dance, special guests and lots of lanterns. Check out some photos from our celebrations:

This Friday 2nd September is the Father’s Day Stall. Items offered will be between $1 – $10. Children are welcome to bring in money on this day for their class teacher to look after.

On Monday we shared toys with our peers that had a special meaning to us. The students have become experts at using the vocabulary of ‘past, present and future’ and showed great bravery when talking in front of their peers.

Today in Reader’s Workshop we had a book tasting. We tasted books from different genres and discussed our favourites. Check out the photos below!

Hi Families,

In history we have been looking at the past, present and future. We have explored how the world has changed around us from 100 years ago to now.

Next Monday we are going to begin exploring the change in toys over time. We ask that each student brings 1 toy from home that has a significant meaning to them. This toy can be a toy from the past or may be a new toy that they have just received.
All toys will be given to the classroom teacher in the morning to ensure they are safe and will only be brought out during the history lesson.

The children will be sharing their toy with the class by answering the questions below. You may want to have a conversation with your child using these questions to support their readiness.
