Disco and Colour Run

Good Afternoon Families,

We have two very exciting school events taking place in the next few weeks.

On Friday the 26th of August from 5:30-7:00pm we will be having our school disco in the Hall.

On Friday the 30th September from 1:30-3:00pm our school will be partaking in their first colour run on the oval.

We hope to see the children partake in both events.

Kind Regards,

Emily

Telling the time

Good Afternoon,

This term in Maths we are learning about clocks and how to tell the time.

This week we have been learning how to read ‘O’clock’ times using analogue clocks. Have a look at us making many different times. We are getting pretty good at it!

Week 1 Phonics

Hi families,

Welcome back, we are looking forward to an exciting term 3!

This week for phonics we have been learning about the ‘ph’ digraph. Today we brainstormed words containing the ‘ph’ diagraph,  and then wrote sentences to share with the class.

Catholic Identity Day

Today our whole school celebrated Catholic Identity Day. We explored the theme, the 7 Laudato Si Goals from Pope Francis. In 1CZ & 1EJ we learnt how we can help our world by reducing our carbon footprint. We created posters to share our learning.

Year 1 Mass

Well done to all the Year 1’s on their efforts at our Mass about St Aloysius this week.

Miss Jackson & Miss Zurcher

Year 1 Mass Thursday 16th June

You are invited to attend the Year 1 Mass this Thursday 16th June at 11:30am in the Centre.

The theme for our Mass is St Aloysius and the Gifts from God.  Father Santosh will be leading us in Mass on Thursday.

All welcome – we would love to see you there to celebrate Mass with us.

Kind regards,

 Miss Jackson & Miss Zurcher

Bring a can for Fred’s Van

Dear families,

This Friday 27th of May, children are asked to bring in a can of food – this could be a can of soup, a can of vegetables or a can of any other non-perishable goods.  These will be donated to Fred’s Van, a local volunteer service that provides meals to those less fortunate through the St Vincent de Paul Society.

This is a lead up to Mission Week which will be held in Week 5 (next week). Just a reminder that we are still collecting bottle lids.

Kind regards,

Miss Zurcher and Miss Jackson
