Hi Families,

We created our own counting by tens Rockets. Have a look at our work!

Reading Diary

Hi Families,

Today the children will be taking home their Reading Diaries. The reading diary is to help encourage students to read each night. To help parents/carers we encourage children fill in the diary by themselves. The diary will be left in their library bag and will be checked once a week, on a Monday,  by the teacher. When students reach their reading Awards they will be presented with the certificate in class on a Monday.

With a strong focus on literacy we encourage parents and carers to listen to their child read each night. Understandably this can be difficult for busy lifestyles, one way to combat this is to have children read aloud whilst you are performing day-to-day activities (cooking, cleaning etc).

Lunar New Year

Hi Families,

This week in 1 EJ and 1 CZ we have been learning about the celebration Lunar New Year. We learn’t that this celebration brings in the new year in many countries within Southeast Asia and is also celebrated in Australia.

This year is the year of Tiger. To showcase this the students were given the choice to create either a tiger or a dragon.

Have a look at our art work!
