Welcome to Week 2. The children have settled in well and are learning about the daily routines and structures.

Just a reminder that we are an Egg and Nut Free Zone at Holy Family. We have a few students in our classes this year with severe allergies to these two ingredients so it is imperative that students are not bringing them too school.

In Literacy, we have started our InitalLit literacy program which is a research-based initiative which teaches children how to read and spell through daily lessons. We have provided a Parent Information sheet for your reading.

We have been beginning our morning with independent reading. Students have the opportunity to practice reading leveled readers or exploring picture books.

 

 

 

 

In Numeracy, we have been exploring number with a focus on counting, writing and subitising.
