Welcome to week 3. We began the week with a special Mother’s Day Liturgy in our House Groups. This was a lovely way to recognise the sacrifices mothers make, the unconditional love they provide, and the important role they play in shaping our lives. Our Monday learning line up looked like this…

Each day we hold our morning meeting together to find out the days events and discuss significant calendar events for our class. This week have continued our work on digraphs during Word Study and exploring punctuation as part of our Writer’s Workshop.

The 1SA and 1PN weather detectives have also been busy exploring the seasons and investigating clouds! Weather affects all of our lives, therefore our first task was to help our paper friends get dressed and explain what season they are preparing for.

 

ART – Learning Intention:

This term we are exploring, and experimenting with, the visual art elements of shape, colour, and line.

We are exploring different materials, media and/or technologies, when creating artwork.

Today we started by looking at lines

Technologies- For technologies this week, the students designed their own masks that they will make next week. They drew up their design and labelled their picture with the materials they will need to make it.
