As part of our ongoing commitment to living out our Catholic values and supporting those in need within our wider community, we are excited to announce our participation in the Catholic Mission: Socktober Outreach Initiative held on Thursday 25^th September 2025.

This year, Socktober is focused on raising awareness and funds for communities in Zambia, where many children face challenges accessing food and education.  The funds raised through our school’s efforts will go directly towards supporting these children and helping them build a brighter future.

Year 5 students will be leading this initiative and making the “sockballs” which will be used by all classes on the day.  If you have any odd socks that can be used to make the “sockballs” please send them to your child’s teacher or drop them off at the office.

We will be celebrating Socktober at Holy Family Catholic School on Thursday 25^th September (Term 3 Week 10), with ALL students participating throughout the day in a penalty shoot-out.
