5/6NB Shared Lunch Announcement

Dear 5/6NB Families,

After a long hiatus the wonderful shared lunch experience is finally back!

As part of Holy Family’s celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival and the marquee Moon Lantern assembly, students of 5/6NB are invited to join in the festivities of the day with a class shared lunch.

When: 12.20, Friday 22nd September (Week 9)

Where: our classroom, Room 24

What: Your child is asked to please bring a plate of food to share with the class. It can be savoury or sweet. We encourage the plate of food to be cultural, as a celebration of the diversity of our classroom community.

Please ensure any plate or tupperware container is labelled with your child’s name so it can be returned to you.

In line with Holy Family’s policy, please avoid any nut products in the food you choose to share.

Plates and cutlery will be provided in class.

If you have any questions please feel free to send me an email:

Congratulations to all the students on our Outdoor Classroom assembly and lessons! Due to wet weather some activities were moved outside, but the students still enjoyed leading the school in various ecology themed lessons.

Assembly Friday 19th May

Dear Families,

This Friday is our class assembly. It falls on the global Outdoor Classroom Day, so we will be using this event as the theme for our assembly. This means that our assembly will be slightly different to what you are used to. Students have been working on developing an outdoor lesson for another class in the school.

They will be hosting the lesson during assembly time. We will still meet at 9am in the Hall for a welcome, introduction and prayer, before the students break off into their lessons. You are all welcome to attend as usual, however we wanted to make you aware that the assembly will be brief as we will be using the assembly time to host these outdoor activities.

We will take lots of photos of the morning to share with you on the class blog.

The students are very excited to lead their lessons, please feel free to chat to them about the activity they are hosting and which class they will be working with. Should you require any further communication please feel free to email us.

Thanks,

Nick & Claudia

Harmony Day
