5/6 camp

Hi families/caregivers,

We just wanted to give a heads up regarding camp. The first 2 days have been full of adventure and laughter.. with students involved in activities such as archery, giant swing, fresh water life, raft making in the pool, and a low ropes activity course.

we also completed a night walk and karaoke session on night one, with a movie night happening as I write this.

The students have shown teamwork, friendship, hardwork and an enormous amount of resilience in working through the activities to their own personal levels of success.

We are both very proud of each of them and our only disappointment is that parents and families are unable to experience some of these enormous achievements first hand.

Photos will be made available to the students on Thursday for them to bring home to families.

kind regards,

Luke and Cassundra

Maths: Re-designing Holy Family Catholic School

Hi everyone,

Welcome back to Term 3! I hope you all had a lovely break.

This term 5KF and 6LF are working together for a group assessment for Maths where students are required to re-design Holy Family Catholic School. We are doing this in segments and teaching students the mathematic skills they will need to incorporate within the assessment.

This includes students:

  • Justifications for choices they have made.
  • Area, perimeter, volume
  • Timestables
  • Finances / Budget
  • Shape / Net
  • Angles
  • Mapping
  • Cospaces

Here are images of students working on the assessment.

Thank you,

Cassundra and Luke

Last day of School

Hi Everyone,

As today is the last day of school we focused on the diversity of our double. We asked students who were confident in speaking another language to teach others in the class. We had students learn Arabic, Philopeno, Greek, Vietnamese, Nepal, Spanish and Khmer. It was fantastic to see students collaborate and expand their knowledge of languages.

We had a poetry battle at the end of the day, played dancing games and interactive class activities. We want to wish Scarlett the best of luck at her new school and we will miss her bubbly energy in the double.

Enjoy these photos and have a safe and happy holidays.
