6EB T1 Learning Highlights

Dear Families of 6EB,

What a busy term it’s been! We have learnt a lot in such a short amount of time and shown so much perseverance and resilience. We are currently working on completing the following tasks before the end of the term, so you may expect to see more homework than usual (if certain students haven’t been using their time wisely in class)

Due in week 11:

Geography – Asian Country Presentation

Science – Migratory Animal Inquiry

Art – Bronwyn Bancroft Shapes of Australia and Tree of Life

Math’s – Theme Park Money Planner

Narrative (starting later this week)

No student has completed all these task and I encourage them to spend some time on these tasks at home, as we have a busy end to the term.

Kind regards,

Elyshia Blackley

P.S – if you couldn’t book an interview and would like a chat please reach out, I’m happy to schedule a call or meeting.

Holy Thursday Liturgy – 6EB

Dear families,

Tomorrow, students in 6EB will be presenting the Holy Thursday (Last Supper) Liturgy at 9:40am in the Hall, we welcome families to join us.

As we journey alongside Jesus during his final hours, students are invited to contemplate the immense sacrifice and love demonstrated through his suffering and death. Showing reverence during this solemn ritual allows students to fully engage with the profound significance of Jesus’ last hours on earth, fostering a deeper understanding of his journey and a greater appreciation for the redemption and grace offered through his eventual Resurrection. By approaching the Stations of the Cross and Last Supper liturgy with reverence, students honour the sacredness of the Easter season and cultivate a spirit of reverence, humility, and gratitude in their hearts.

Kindest regards,

Elyshia Blackley

6EB Week 3 Homework and Stop Motion Animation

Dear families,

This week students from 6EB were required to take their student folders home, these contain any unfinished work, I watched every student place these in their bags (except Mason W, Sara and Navya who have finished everything). Students have been given more than enough time to complete this work, especially given that I was away unexpectedly and left them catch up time.

work that needs to be completed:

1. All about me Inquiry (on laptop)

2. Graffiti Art

3. writers and word study book covers

4. things that make me happy

Any other tasks mentioned are not due at this time.

‼️ Next week we are making stop motion animations with objects from around the house, students planned their stopped motion and should have some objects in mind that they would like to bring, I am allowing toys that can be manipulated to be brought into the class under the agreement that students are responsible for looking after their own belongings and they don’t go out at break times. (no electronics) things like action figure, small cars, dolls, plush toys etc that could be characters are encouraged.  ‼️

Thank you for your support, I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

kind regards,

Elyshia Blackley
