Guided Reading Week 9 – Australian Population Future

1. What are some of the benefits of population growth?
There are some benefits to having more people in the country and it’s not just lots of potential new friends. More people means more businesses; more buildings means more jobs; and more people paying taxes. The benefits will be that the works will make more school’s and schools and so the kids can go, and there will be more businesses and people the works will make more buildings and the more they make the better it is because there will be enough space for people to live and the works will get more money.
2.What are some of the challenges of population growth?
The challenges will be that there will be more and more people so the works will need to make more school’s and there will be terrific jams and that will be bad for our environment. There will be lots of bad things happening more accident’s and our air will be bad .
3.Do you think Australia’s population should grow or stay the same size? Explain your answer.
 I think that the Australian population should not grow because there will be terrific jaws we would not to make bigger school and it will be bad for our in environment. I don’t want more people to come to australiabecause our  environment air population that will be a big and bad effect on our  environment and that’s not good.

My goal for this term is to learn my fractions if we are and if we are not learning about fractions this term so I want to get better at my division because I do know division but I want to get better at it. If we are doing fractions this term when I will really like to get better at I just because I know but in between I get muddily up in division and fractions and sometimes I get muddily up with division and multiplication.

Guided Reading Week 8 – Plastic Free Boy

How is plastic pollution having a negative impact on animals and our environment?
There’s more life in the ocean than there is on land. We need to protect the ocean for the people in the future because if this ocean isn’t clean from this plastic pollution our water will not be clean.
2. How many tonnes of plastic end up in the ocean?
8 million tonnes are in the ocean.
3. What can you do to help the environment?

To help the environment we can put the rubbish in the right on.You can put it in the bin but if you are at the beach and you are eating chips and you don’t find the bin to put it in so it’s that you put it in the water you can even just put in your bag and take it home.

How does working with a partner help me?

Working with a partner helps me by is that is I am doing division they can help me when I am stuck. I like working with partners because they can help you and you can help them. I like working with a partner or a friend because if you are playing a maths game and you are getting bored in that you can work with your partner or your friend and find an interesting can play that. Working with a partner or with your friend helps you and partner or your friend get better at something and the same time or you and your friend or partner can be able to work as a team and get something better at.

Come and read with me

In come and read with me we came in the classroom as a class and we did come and read with me. We sometimes read with our friends and today we read by ourself. You can read your own books that you get from the library or the teachers I today read the teachers book Bad guy.

Guided reading

In Guided Reading today I did BTN in that I did it about Dingos. In  guided there are 5 groups that are named as Writes Worshop, BTN, Blogging in blogging we change when everyone  has down blogging and reading with the teacher.

Fruit

After we packed up and had fruit when we were having fruit the teacher explained us what to do.

 

Numeracy

After fruit we had numeracy in that we played a game called Circus towers in that we play so we can learn our multiplication but I already know my multiplication but I had to play and it was fun.

 

 

After maths and we just have a little brain break so do aerobics.

1.some difference between dingoes and dogs.
The difference between dogs and dingos are  firstly, dogs bark and dingoes don’t, they mainly use growling to communicate. And while man’s best friend can be domesticated or taught tricks, pure-breed dingoes can’t.
2. Why are dingoes sometimes a pest for some farmers.
Dingoes are classed as a vulnerable species, but to some farmers in Australia they’re seen as a pest because they attack livestock like sheep.
3. What Australian state do you NOT find dingoes
in? He dingo is unique to Australia and lives in every state or territory  except Tasmania.

Investigation Week 6

Today in Investigation I did easter stuff I made a easter bag and I could not really make the easter eggs so I got out the balloons out of the jar and made them into a egg and I even decorated it so I would look like a egg. I learned how to make a proper easter bag but it still didn’t look like a easter bag so next week I will make more eggs and decorat the eatsre bag so it looks a bit like one.

The Optometrist studies the eyes test’s.

Briefly explain how monocular vision works.
This is what an eye looks like. In a healthy one, light comes through the ‘cornea’ at the front and is focussed by the ‘lens’ onto the back of your eye. There’s a layer of special nerve cells that detect light and colour and that’s the ‘retina’. From there, the brain works out what we are seeing. But what some people see isn’t always clear.

4rg Fishing Excursion

I came to chool and 8:30.When the school bell went our class went in the classroom and we ha our bags on our back. When we got in  the class we put on sunscreen, than we walked to the outside of the front office. We waited for so long our bus was supposed to come at 9:00 but instead of 9:00 it came at 9:30 and until 9:30 we toke 3 photos as class photos and we even ate our brain fruit there.

When we were seated in the bus I was sitting with my friend Aditi. it toke us  a lot of time to reach at West Lakes Shore. Outside of the bus we saw lots of houses when me and Aditi were getting because it was a 30mins of drive from Holy Family School to West Lakes Shore so me and Aditi played I spy my little eye.

When we reached West Lakes Shore we sat down on the grass and waited until our guide Mr. McCarthy and Jason  told us what to do. Mr. McCarthy told us to pair up in partners and then fish me and Aditi my friend were partners .

When I was fishing and Aditi was waited because we were doing it by true by true. When I was fishing I didn’t know how to cast so I aksed Mr.McCarthy to help mr and now I now how to cast the fishing rode. I got to even put the worms in the hook of the fishing rode. Me and Aditi did not use face bait because than the fish does not come. Some people caught starfish’s. We even got to climb trees and rocks. We caught the starfish in the crab net.

We did two breaks for Recess and Lunch. In between we had playground play. After that we got in the bus and went to schoolin the bus I sat with Aditi and going  back from West Lakes Shore we reasted in the bus. When we reached school Ms.G as Ms. Ginnakaais gave us Ice blocks and we went outside to eat them at the playground and then we went home.
