Term 1 week 1 &2 Long Day Care 3 Blog

Nina Marni to our lovely children and families .

Welcome to all children and families in our weekly blog. We are super excited to have you all children and families in our Holy Family community.

Learning Intention:

To support new children and families to develop a sense of belonging to the Holy Family early Year Learning and develop their relationship in their communities.

Why :

• We believe children begin to learn about themselves and construct their own identity within the context of their families and communities. We view HFEY as an important part of this community and believe we have a responsibility to create positive experiences that will support children’s deep understanding of themselves as significant and respected members and citizens of the world.
• In early childhood settings children develop a sense of belonging when they feel accepted, develop attachments and trust those that care for them. As children are developing their sense of identity, they explore different aspects of it (physical, social, emotional, spiritual, cognitive), through their play and their relationships.
• Children begin to learn how to interact with others through observation and support. We believe it is important that children are given the opportunities and resources to enter play scenarios with their peers and start to develop an understanding how to interact with others respectfully.
• Children have a right to belong to a community and it is important that they are supported to develop this understanding. Through developing this understanding, children are supported to broaden their understanding of the world and their place and role in it.

We have celebrated Vietnamese and Chinese New Year. We saw videos to know how it is celebrated .
