Holy Family Term 2 Week 6 BLOG

Nina Marni and welcome to our blog for Week 6!

This week we continued our learning intention of supporting children’s engaging within the early learning environment allowing them to grow in their confidence and agency.

The children this week enjoyed spending time outside and engaging with the outdoor environment. Trips to the Log Park allow the children to explore new areas and develop gross motor skills through balancing and lifting heavy logs. Within our preschool yard play highlights included millipede searching and collecting, and raking and sweeping the fallen leaves.

Construction continued to be popular this week, with the children engaging with a range of materials to build and create.

The children continue to enjoy engaging in arts and crafts within the preschool. This helps them develop their fine motor skills and appreciation for detail.

Keeping our environment beautiful and clean is always important. So the children helped out by scrubbing tables, sweeping floors and tidying up the room. Teaching children cleaning skills helps them develop practical life skills that they will need later in their life. By cleaning the room children also help the children gain respect for the environment in which they play in.

We were very lucky on Friday to have a visit from Blueberry, Anika’s turtle who is going to live in MUDLA.

We all hope you have a lovely and safe long weekend, and we are looking forward to getting back to learning next week in Week 7!
