This week we have been focusing in supporting children with their engagement the learning environment. As well as continuing to support children’s interests with the insect inquiry. Where we have been investigating bees.
The children have been helping clean our learning environment and learning about the importance of having a clean space to play in.
We also went to the playground to enjoy the sunshine and have a play.
To continue with our insect inquiry we learn all about bees! The children shared their prior knowledge about bees and we engaged in discussions and watched videos to further extend our bee knowledge. The children made bees out of recycled materials.
The children enjoyed playing in the outdoor environment where they engaged in pretend play, running, climbing and so much more!
The children have enjoyed playing indoors, where they engaged in:
-painting
-sensory play
-fine motor activities
-drawing
-cognitive activities
-group stories
-construction play
-investigating insects
