Nina Marni everyone ! Welcome to our weekly blog
learning Intention 1
Learning Intention : To support children with their engagement in the Early learning Environment, so they can be active participants in the routines, experiences and interactions.
Why : Agency among children impacts their learning. By engaging children in their learning environment we help to develop their individual agency and independence.
Children were their own authors of their own creative experiences, where they explored and resourced with a variety of colors , through pencils , water colors, paints and craft and some leaves .and perfected a bit of their cutting skills. They were also able to tap into their emotions for the day by identifying how they felt through the use of a mixture of colors. Children were able to engage as well as into an inquiry space on living beings, insects (bees).
learning Intention 2
To continue to support children’s interest into the insect inquiry
Why : Follow the children’s interests in the inquiry and foster their curiosity
Children were able to foster and navigate their curiosity with the investigation on the insects “bees”, they were able to create their own version and concept of what a bee would look like through researching and reading books with Teachers. What wonderful collaborative learning children experience when they gain the knowledge and understanding of the world that surrounds them.
This week our children from LDC 3 have been having their transition visits with their educators in Preschool. Children have been enthusiastic and curious explorers where they were able to engage in a wide variety of learning experiences. Children were also able to build connections with their new Teachers and make new friends.
Tuesday was a very special day for our children as they celebrated National picnic day where they each had to bring a teddy bear and sang songs having their afternoon tea.
wishing our Teacher Christina and Erich a very Happy Birthday. Here are some specs of gold to end this wonderful week of learning.
