Preschool and LDC4 Week 10

Nina Marni everyone ! Welcome to our weekly blog 🙂

Learning Intention 1To nurture each child’s wellbeing as they begin their progression to Pre School.

Why: As children approach the transition to preschool, they may be experiencing certain feelings such as fear, uncertainty and nervousness

To support the implementation and understanding of positive education practices and re-introduce the concept and language of ‘bucket filling’ and ‘specks of gold’

Why: Positive education is an approach to education that draws on positive psychology’s emphasis of individual strengths and personal motivation to promote learning.

This week we celebrated NAIDOC Week. We listened to Dream Time Stories with our educators, created native animals through mark making, and used our hand prints to paint the Aboriginal Flag. We also went to Assembly in the school to learn more about NAIDOC Week .

We enjoyed engaging in outdoor experiences, especially playing with the dirt and toy bugs.

We enjoyed going on adventures to the library and playground this week.

We cut up paper to create paper mache, the children enjoyed learning about and engaging in the process.

We also celebrated preschool graduation! Congratulations everyone, have a wonderful time to school!

Have a wonderful, safe and happy holidays!
