LDC A Term 3 Week 7 and 8

Marhab hababak

Welcome to LDC A

The Children have continued their learning journey over the last two weeks by looking at construction vehicles.

We provide the children learning experiences through interests that the children have and through our observations of their play and interactions.

Learning Intention 1:   Continue with the children’s interest in reading
Why: Reading is important because it makes you more empathetic and knowledgeable and also stimulates your imagination.
It opens up a world of possibilities and allows people to learn about new things.   By engaging the children with stories from books and developing their enjoyment in reading we are encouraging them to grow. Reading can inspire you to learn new things, engage in new experiences and help to shape your life and future.

We have been exploring the different types of construction vehicles and learning the names of the different types. (I think maybe some of them have been teaching me the names.)

We continue with our fine motor development through many different experience provided for the children.

The trains and vehicles are very popular along with the construction. We provide different types of construction materials to enable the children to explore and expand their skills. It is great watching them concentrate, problem solve, share and engage with each other.

The children continue to enjoy the different story puppets and engage in story telling, recall and imagination. I am very proud of how the children have engaged with each other and taken turns to talk about the vehicles.

The children are gradually engaging in more of the sensory experiences and art experiences provided for them. Educators try to place out these experiences based around the subject of the week. We started our wheel exploration with rollers, paint and bubble wrap. Very different textures to explore.
