Hi RCC families – What an amazing and successful first week of school for your little legends!
I am so impressed with the confidence, resilience, and independednce that they have all demonstrated this week. We have had such a fun and busy week – the children have been exploring the school, setting up classroom routines and expectations, and engaging in inquiry/collaborative play.
Literacy – This week we have been exploring the basis of literacy concepts through rich literature, songs, and name games. We have been working with our names and identifying the different letters that our names start with.
Numeracy – RCC have engaged in explorative number investigations, developing counting skills and 1:1 correspondent understanding. We have so many amazing mathematicians who investigate, engage, and think critically!
Integrated Learning
Integrated learning has explored curriculum areas such as HASS, Science, Religion, Health, the Arts, and Technology! RCC have developed an understanding of positive choices and establishing the classroom community through the integration of Catholic identities and values. We had a special visit to the MUDLA to begin investigating living and non-living things.
