Week 6 in REB

Hello REB Families, welcome to our week 6 Blog.

We were so lucky today to have our buddies come to share their robots with us. It was so inspiring to learn about the process of making the robots and we were very excited to have the opportunity to drive them.

This week in English we:

-participated in literacy rotations where we engaged with playful activities focussing on heart words, segmenting sounds and blending words

-built sentences together and wrote and illustrated them in our books

-revised the phonemes and graphemes we have learnt throughout the term

-applied our comprehension skills and re-told scenes from various books through writing and drawing

-Added words to our word wall

In Maths we:

-introduced a new unit on ‘data’

-we discussed how collecting data is useful in our lives and explored different ways to represent and summarise the data (in picture and T Graphs).

In Technologies we:

-Read the ‘Three Little Pigs’ and discussed how we could make a house to keep the pigs safe

-applied new understandings as we designed our own houses, taking into consideration materials and size.

In Science we:

-concluded our unit on movement and sorted items into the catgories of slide, roll and bounce

In Health we:
