Week 6, Term 2 (RCC) 2024

Hello RCC families and children. Welcome to our week 6 blog!

This week, in English we continued book making. The students added words to tell their reader more. Children used big and bold and fancy writing as well as speech and thinking bubbles in their writing.

We have regularly revised phonemes and graphemes, used the letters to learn new words, and recorded them on the white board.

The students also learnt to edit their books when it is almost finished.

In Maths,  we learned about Data, a new unit. Children learned the importance of collecting and using data in our lives. They developed the understanding of creating T Chart and Picture graph. Children went on a walk around the school and came up with three things they wanted to count and record (example: benches, tables, birds, flowers etc). Then, they counted how many are in each data group and decided which one has the most and which one has the least.

In Health, the children learned about Bullying. They also discovered different forms of bullying.

In HASS, children illustrated different celebrations of their choice, efficiently incorporating several distinctive features such as attires, decorations, and food.
