Week 7, Term 2 (RCC) 2024.

Hello RCC families and children, welcome to week 7 blog.

This week, in English – Children reviewed and wrote uppercase and lower case letters on  white boards. They also learned to add words in various ways such as big and bold texts, fancy writing, speech and thinking bubbles in their story writing.

In Maths, students enthusiastically explored what and how information from the environment is collected and used by First Nations Australians to predict weather events. They sat by the  billabongs and wrote down their data. They listened with interest and and discussed about which season we are in. Then they illustrated what they can observe in this season.

They collected data from each other in RCC classroom to know about the most favourite colour of the students and counted up their data at the end. They also identified which colour has the most ticks and least and what that might mean.

In Health,

Students discussed and discovered who they trust the most. They also drew/wrote who they trust the most in their lives.

In Religion, students were introduced to various religions. They also drew cross, Jesus from their imagination and about various other religions.

In Science,

Students explored and developed an understanding that bouncing is a form of movement and depends on the material that the object is made from.

In Technology, the students continued to build a house from the story The Three Little Pigs, with different materials such as wooden blocks, lego.
