Week 4, Term 2 (RCC) 2024

Hello RCC families and children. Welcome to our weekly blog!

This week was very special for us. RCC participated in the assembly on Friday. The students’ enthusiasm and excitement were clearly visible in their preparations all week.

In Literacy lessons, we continued to work on different heart words, the letters Y and J. Students continued to write their stories and adapted some writing/drawing techniques which were inspired by the author Mo Willems, such as motion lines, big and bold, speech bubbles.

In Numeracy, we worked on part-whole and operations. Students enjoyed learning about the big words such as part, whole, add, addition, subtraction, equation, equals, number bonds etc.

Religion: Catholic History

Students worked on catholic history after they watched a video – God’s story – Jesus.

Children loved to listen to the story ‘Bowerbird Blues” written by Aura Parker at the hall for National Simultaneus story time.
